Hello...

"The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts." - C.S. Lewis

Hi. My name is Megan Litz. I've been married for over five years and live in Orange County with my amazing husband, Duane. We love to travel, try new foods, and adventure together. I love the outdoors and am a fairly active person. Some of my hobbies are cycling, swimming and surfing! My happy places are the beach, being with my church family, and adventuring with my husband. Once I received my California Teaching Credential, I was hired as a middle school teacher where I taught 7th and 8th grade for the first 5 years of my teaching career educating students in math, Bible and serving in the school's resource program for struggling learners. Once I got married, I decided to take a break from my teaching career and try my hand at tutoring. I have always enjoyed empowering struggling learners to look at things differently. Becoming a Barton specialist was a perfect fit for me as I discovered that this curriculum greatly helps students who have dyslexia. It creates a way for them to see and experience sounds, letters and words in a whole new way. I love what I do! It is a joy when I experience a student reading and spelling with confidence for the first time. Please reach out for more information. I look forward to meeting you and your student!
