BARTON READING and SPELLING
Barton Reading and Spelling System is an Orton-Gillingham based method that has been verified through research to help those who struggle with dyslexia. It is a multi-sensor, systematic and explicit phonics program. Students learn to spell through sounding words out rather than memorizing letter sequence.
FOUNDATION in SOUNDS
Foundation in Sounds is also an Orton-Gillingham based method and also known as a pre-Barton program to help those who are struggling with his or her basic sounds. It builds a strong foundation before starting the Barton system.
My Multiplication Magic
Does your child have trouble memorizing his math facts? Does she mix up and jumble her numbers when writing the problems down? I offer a fun and helpful method for your student to memorize their multiplication facts 1-12 using a research developed program called, My Multiplication Magic. Developed by dyslexia consultant and certified Barton tutor, Sue Bridgman has found a way to help the dyslexia mind and math work together.
